August was a decent month of downloads and sales of Human Project Music for August, 2026. Lots of countries…(Over 30) but many are only one or two so I only list the top 10. But first, here are the top 10 downloads. What is interesting about this is that some of my older songs that have not done all that well in the past in terms of sales/downloads have made it into the top 10. And there is a new #1, “Drive, Drive, Drive” from my 2008 release Human Project II, Humanized.  My V8 Ford and Bad Momma, the next two are from the same release.  This makes me happy because I had that bad boy mastered at Sterling Sound In NYC and it sparkles. There were so many good songs from that CD, that they are sprinkled through-out all 3 of my Essential Human Project releases. Here are the top 10 downloads for August.

On another interesting note, “River Rock” appears in the top 10 for the first time ever! It's a cajun themed party tune with a cajun squeeze box blasting away and a killer fiddle on it as well. Its from my 2011 release, “Last Train Out.”  I wrote all the songs in the top 10 except Not Fade Away and Call Me The Breeze.

Greetings! This was a great month for sales of Human Project Music! On of my top months ever! 550 Downloads! Some of my best songs are now starting to work their way up into the top 15. Many have been out there sort of in hibernation, kinda undiscovered, but several really good ones have come alive and now are climbing my charts. Jimmy's Juke Joint climbed all the way to #1!  It was recorded in 2006 and is on The Real Stuff CD. It's also on my first “Essential Human Project” release 2205-2023.   Great lyrics about a Juke Joint out on the backroads, on the rural routes of Mississippi.  I will deviate and list the top 15 instead of top 10 because so many good songs  were downloaded so heavily. I want to do justice to them..and the cool part about all this is…I wrote all of them.

The Human….July 2026/

Greetings friends and fans! Another decent month for downloads/sales of my music. Around 350 downloads from a lot of different countries. My new song, “Born In Mississippi,” has not even worked itself into their accounting system yet, so we will see how that might ultimately affect things. My lastest release, “Bad Momma,” was my #5 downloaded song, so it is finally starting to show up!  The top 10 had quite a dramatic shake-up this time! Many new songs worked their way in, which means people are digging deeper into my deep catalog, and finding more of my songs!

Of the top 10, I wrote 9 of them. I write most all of my songs.  One day, maybe  I will catch a break and someone of importance with some clout in the industry will hear one of my songs and gets it to another artist to record. That is where the real money and fame is.

Of special note: 
“Southern Accents,” is a Tom Petty song, an obscure track I did with a good friend, David Brown.. who plays Mandolin on Norwegian Wood. He is actually doing all the instrumentation on this one, I simply tried to lay the vocal down on it.  The song is special to me, because I am from the South, and all my family came from their as well.  I have strong roots there, even though I have lived in California for most of my adult life. It is a rare harder to find track.

Another decent month for Human Project Downloads with close to 400 for the month of May and around 50 countries that downloaded, although the bulk of them always come from the top 10-15 that I always list.  There was a new number 1 this month…"Fast Train," that was originally on 2017's “ Humanize.” You can also get it on Essential Human Project 2005-2023. On an interesting side note, I recorded “Call Me The Breeze,” in my home studio in around 2010 or so. I never released it until recently. It's raw and rockin, so I am glad I did because people do like it.
