I always like John Lennon's Working Class Hero. The sparseness of the track. The power of it. His version was recorded in 1970 and had more of a Marxian view of a pure capitalist society. This of course made him unpopular with some of the listening public. You know, the same group that got involved in burning all The Beatles records in the late 60's. While we have made improvements since this time, there are still large segments of hard working blue collar workers that still struggle to make it. My video contains some of them as well. As Lennon so eloquently put it, they are....Working Class Hero's.
